Dawn Christian Academy is an incredible academic institution. We have two daughters there. One in 8th grade and another in 2nd. Both of them by the end of kindergarten knew how to read and write (in cursive). DCA really welcomes you and make you feel part of the family. They all know you and your children by your first name. The children are well disciplined and even all stand to greet someone when they walk in! They emphasize children to treat each other with love and respect. Dawn Christian makes sure that there is absolutely no bullying and that your child feels comfortable. Their religious foundations are the best. Do not consider sending your child to a public school when you have this option. They want your child to have a good future and see that he/she understands everything. The teachers at this school will even reteach their lesson if a student does not understand the subject. My oldest daughter was taking Algebra and did not understand a few of the concepts. The teacher retaught the lesson and had her come at lunch to review to make sure she understood, along with two more of her classmates. He sacrificed his own lunchtime for his students much more than once!
DCA teaches responsibility, hard work, time management, and best of all, the Word of God. They teach the Old and New Testament and have pastors from churches come and preach at their chapel on Wednesdays.
These kids also have outreaching hearts. In Christmas season, the high school and elementary go to senior houses to carol. They make cards, hand them out to the seniors, and take the time to pray and talk with them too!
The teachers here love what they do. They have a servant's heart. With this amazing education and care, it is not really expensive at all. Especially when compared to other private schools. In a small school, your child can interact with more students, make more friends (even in different grades), and have more one-on-one attention with the teachers. If you want your children to academic and spiritually succeed, send them to DCA.
